1. Does the purchase of a physical workbook include access to the new all-digital course?

Yes! Digital access is included with the purchase of a workbook. (one workbook = one online enrollment, ten workbooks = ten online enrollments.) Leader Guides and Starter Packs also include an online enrollment. So, for example, the purchase of one Starter Pack, two Leader Guides and ten workbooks (for the same program) will grant access to a total of 13 online enrollments.

If you purchased multiple workbooks or online course enrollments, we're working on making the enrollment of your students easy! On September 1, you'll receive an email with a link to enter your students' information such as names and email addresses. Then, each student will receive an email with a link to create their account and access their online course.

2. How do I register my students for a study if I purchased multiple workbooks or enrollments?

A bulk workbook purchase will grant you one immediate registration, so you will be able to access the online program materials to review and prepare for your study.

After your purchase check your inbox for an email from our partner Thinkific (we have partnered with them to provide you with this upgraded study experience!). In order to access your online study, you will receive a link in that email to create a FREE account with Thinkific and access your study.

You will then be able to access your online study at ascensionpress.thinkific.com.

(Note that if you have already created a Thinkific account through Ascension, you will not need to create a new one, but will then receive a link to access your online study directly.)

3. Can I purchase digital-only access to programs?

Our sacramental preparation and teen faith formation programs are available in an all-digital format. In response to requests from our parish and school customers who are looking for a flexible option and who do not need physical workbooks, we are offering these school and religious ed focused programs in an exclusive online-only format.

The following programs include a digital-only (no workbook) purchase option:

4. How do I access the new all-digital online course after I purchase?

After you purchase a product that includes access, check your inbox for an email from our partner Thinkific (we have partnered with them to provide you with this upgraded study experience!). 5. Do I need to log into my Ascension account first in order to access my Thinkific studies, or can I just go to my Thinktific account directly?

Once you have created your Thinkific account, you can log directly into your Thinkific studies by simply logging into your Thinkific account. We recommend you bookmark your Thinkific account page.

6. What’s the difference between the new all-digital courses and the old Ascension online platform?

Ascension has partnered with Thinkific to offer an enhanced online study experience that now includes not only access to the videos, but also to a digital online version of the workbook. The digital workbook is integrated throughout the study, aligning with each of the session videos to guide you through the study. This allows your participants to have 24/7 access to all the study components on any device, no matter where they are.

Our sacramental prep and teen programs also include online interactive quizzes and digital Parent and Sponsor Guides (where applicable).

Our adult sacramental prep certificate programs, Belonging (Baptism) and Joy-Filled Marriage are set up with a compliance feature to ensure participants have engaged and completed all online materials before being able to print or email a completion certificate. 7. Can I track my student’s progress online?

Currently we do not have a feature for leaders to directly track their student’s progress through Thinkific. We are working on this feature and hope to be able to offer a tracking capability soon.

Our Baptism (Belonging) and Marriage preparation (Joy-Filled Marriage) programs feature compliance assurance, which means that participants must complete each session completely, including watching all of the videos and answering all of the online “check your understanding” questions. After completing all of the online requirements, participants can print and/or email a personalized Certificate of Completion, which guarantees they have completed the study.

Bible studies, adult faith formation and teen faith formation studies are not set up with the compliance feature in order to allow leaders the most flexibility in terms of directing participants in how they would like their participants to engage with the online materials. For example, some groups decide to watch videos in person and only use the online platform for review or to catch up on sessions that were missed.

8. Will your current Spanish programs be available on the new digital platform?

We are working on making all of our programs available in the new digital platform, including our Spanish language programs. We plan to have most programs available by the end of August.

9. How long will a registration give access to the new online platform?

Once a participant is registered, they will have access for one year. The only exception to this is the Chosen Confirmation and Chosen Faith Formation programs, which both grant access for two years.

10. Can I transfer credits for the old online (video-only) platform to the new Thinkific all-digital platform?

Yes! If you have credits that have been purchased in the past, but that have not yet been used, contact our Customer Support department if you would like to transfer those credits to the new Thinkific platform.

Email support@ascensionpress.com your original order number, the first and last name as well as the email address of the participants to be enrolled and one of our representatives will be able to confirm your previous order and transfer your credits.

11. I have purchased multiple programs that have the new online access, including some with Study Sets and others with digital-only access. Will I be able to access them all through the same account?

Yes. Once you have set up your Thinkific account you will be able to access any Ascension program you have purchased from your Thinkific dashboard page here: ascensionpress.thinkific.com
